I really enjoyed this family story of love and support. The concept of the Donahue family of 7 boys adopted from the foster care system and making a strong family together is a great basis for this series. Brandon and Rose's relationship was a long time coming. Brandon has to see what was right in front of him and Rose needed to believe she was worthy of a loving relationship. I enjoyed the development of their relationship and the way family and Rose's son AJ were always first. I liked the quotes at the beginning of each chapter, and the fact that people make mistakes and need forgiveness was an integral part of the faith message. Only negative is the formatting was way off in my digital copy and along with some typos and word mistakes it broke up the story a bit for me.Product details

A nice story. Brandon was fortunate to have been adopted and a part of an amazing family. Rose wasn't as fortunate and spent her entire childhood in foster care. After working as his executive Secretary for five years, their relationship took a,sudden turn. When her son's biological father threatens to take AJ away, Brandon realizes how attached he had become I would give it4 stars
I love how the family continues to live out their motto 'Donahue Strong'. They always have each others backs, no matter what.
I continue to love Ms. Calhoune's writing & am greatly enjoying this series centered around the beauty of adoption. Her titles are Contemporary Christian, refreshingly clean; but without losing their spark!
I love the character's in this series. These children are so blessed to have this Irish couple adopt them. Seven boys from different backgrounds who need the love and nurturing of parents who want them to dream big. The realism is that each has to reach inside themselves and trust God for all aspects of their life. This one wants a women that doesn't want him for his money. I didn't want to put it down.
Book 5 of Seven Brides Seven Brothers features Brandon and Rose Maddock. Brandon is the family over achiever. With a million dollar firm on Wall Street and his own fortune he only moves forward and never looks back. After a breakup on national television with his supermodel girlfriend. He isn't nearly as upset as he should be. When he returns to his office he has an encounter with Rose Maddox who is dressed in casual clothes as she is working late. Distracted by seeing her so relaxed and upbeat he realizes that he hardly knows her. But all of that is about to change.
Wonderful series great family there is a lot of variety in the storyline but the tie-in to his father's illness and other changes in the family makes it a cohesive series. Each story blends in with the others so the timeline is easy to follow.
This was a good story in the continuing saga of the Donahue Family. Alec and Maggie Donahue adopted seven orphan sons through the years. This book is Brandon's story. It was sweet and good but, in my opinion, did not quite live up to the previous books.
Rose Maddock is a single mother to her son AJ and she has been Brandon Donahue's secretary for five LONG years. She has tried, without success, to find things about Brandon that she likes. Brandon is arrogant, business-minded and his life revolves around that multi-million dollar biz he owns. Brandon is pretty clueless about some things and its a little hard to believe he can be so brilliant and clueless at the same time. Brandon is humiliated that his super model girlfriend dumped him on live TV.
Rose wants to give her son his most wanted wish for Christmas but she will need Brandon's help to pull it off. Will Brandon ever see what is right in from of him?
I highly recommend this book.
Wonderful novel, very different than the other novels found in this series by Ms. Calhoune. Normally, the novels have been found to have each of the sons fighting the demons from their childhoods, but the main male lead in this novel had already overcome the majority of his by the time his destiny entered into this novel.
I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the novels that I have read so far, I have only a few more to read until I have read each novel in this series. I have been blessed to have enjoyed each of them and I hope to finish them very soon. Reading of God's unfailing grace never gets old.
This could have been so much better. The plot is good, but there are too many goof-ups. It was a very slow start, dragging on and on. I don't usually skip sections in a book, but I did in this one. Then there was the repeating of not just ideas but whole sentences like they had been copied and pasted over and over again. Both main characters keep saying they didn't know the other, then in the next paragraph they claimed to know all about the other. Then there are the extra words inserted here and there making no sense. I usually overlook a few mistakes, but this book seems to have been published before it was really ready.
